Exciting Week for The Waterfront: The Great Tail Trail Design Selection Event at AFC Bournemouth

This week marks the highly anticipated design selection event at AFC Bournemouth for The Great Tail Trail, where sponsors, including The Waterfront, will come together to choose their favourite mermaid tail designs. This collaborative event is an important step in bringing the art trail to life, as selected designs will be paired with local artists who will transform the chosen concepts into stunning sculptures. These sculptures will be showcased across Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch next spring in support of Julia’s House children’s hospice.

At The Waterfront, employees have been actively involved in the design process by voting for their top choices. This engagement highlights the collective enthusiasm within the company for contributing to the community project and the team hope to see their selected design displayed proudly at The Waterfront as part of the trail.

Ceren Akin, Visual Designer at The Waterfront, expressed her excitement about the creative process: “It’s been inspiring to see the designs come in. Each one tells a unique story, and knowing that our choice will be turned into a vibrant piece of public art makes the experience all the more meaningful. We can’t wait to see the final artwork come to life and make a difference for such an important cause.”

Stay tuned for the reveal of the chosen tail design, which will proudly represent The Waterfront during next year’s Great Tail Trail!
