The Waterfront Becomes One of the First Official Sponsors of The Great Tail Trail in Support of Julia’s House

The Waterfront is proud to announce its sponsorship of The Great Tail Trail, a sculpture art trail taking place across Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch (BCP) next spring. This family-friendly event, running from 5 April to 1 June 2025, will raise vital funds for Julia’s House children’s hospice charity, which provides care for the most seriously ill children and their families in Dorset.

As one of the first sponsors of this significant event, The Waterfront joins several other local businesses in supporting this worthy cause. The Great Tail Trail will feature 40 giant mermaid tail sculptures, each uniquely designed by local artists and displayed in some of BCP’s most beloved locations. As part of their sponsorship, London Land Group will select a stunning mermaid tail design to bring a splash of art and joy to the community which will be located at The Waterfront itself.

Mario Luca Balducci, CEO of London Land Group, expressed his excitement about the partnership: “Supporting Julia’s House through The Great Tail Trail aligns perfectly with our values and commitment to the community. We are honoured to contribute to such a heartwarming initiative that not only brings art and culture to the public and our residents but also supports children and families facing unimaginable challenges.”

Laura Maidment, Public Fundraising Manager for Julia’s House, added, “We’re thrilled to welcome London Land Group as an official sponsor for The Great Tail Trail. The support from local businesses like theirs is crucial in helping us provide the essential care needed by so many families.”

The trail will culminate in a Farewell Event at the Bournemouth International Centre, where all the mermaid tail sculptures will be displayed together for the public to enjoy before they are auctioned off to raise further funds for Julia’s House.

We invite everyone to explore the trail and enjoy the creativity and community spirit it embodies. Together with Julia’s House and other sponsors, we look forward to making a significant impact and supporting an incredible cause.
